Vitamins are organic compounds that are needed in very small quantities for the body to work properly. These items can be obtained from taking a healthy diet which contains vegetables and fruits. The requirement of vitamins in a body is different in different organisms. For example, dogs do not consume Vitamin C like humans do but they themselves produce it on their own.
